The FKM Elemente GmbH is a partner in the research project Railway-X.

This project aims to build a digital platform for transparency, sustainability, and data networking in the railway sector, similar to Catena-X in the automotive industry. Railway-X brings together companies, universities, and research partners – including Technische Universität Braunschweig, Siemens, DB, and other renowned institutes. This creates a unique ecosystem where practice and science work hand in hand.

As an SME partner, FKM assumes the role of integrating the perspective of medium-sized enterprises – and you can actively shape it!

🚀 Your Mission

⏱️ Project period: October 2025 to approx. December 2026.
🔗 Foster data transparency: Clarify with suppliers how and in what format data can be delivered can be provided.
📊 Process PCF data: Collection, integration, and preparation of PCF (Product Carbon Footprint).
💾 Establish structures: Create a database or CSV file for storage and processing.
🌱 Calculate sustainability: Determine and calculate your own PCF, including the supplier data.

🎓 Your Profile

🎯 Degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Management or similar.
🌍 Interest in sustainability, data management & digitalization.
🧩 Analytical thinking and structured approach.
💡 Initial experience with Excel, CSV, or databases is an advantage.
